Can anyone recommend a good string bag pattern?

I want to make some environmentally friendly string bags instead of plastic bags for shopping use than I do. I have Sugar 'N' Cream yarn (cotton worsted) to this project shall be used for something. I knit and crochet, so either type of pattern would be in order. I'm looking for something that does not seek not to make to take forever, has a moderate performance, and is strong enough for a pint of milk or keep a few cans. Patterns can be from the Web, our own design, or recommend a book with a good pattern would be in order. Thank you for Your help!

Dishcloth cotton (Peaches & Cream, Sugar 'n Cream, etc.) is perfect for this project. If you stashbusting not, I would Propose buying some hemp or flax.
