Your Antique Caucasian rug – From legends and lost traditions

In the last emperors, kings and tsars their fair share of mistakes in the course history made, but if it were not for them we would not have the wisdom and strength to learn from the past. One of the inexplicable and senseless errors was the from the Soviet Union in 1920, when they are destroying the future of a prosperous and promising carpet-weaving culture in the region of the Caucasus. Even today, people are from the three countries in this area, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan are still trying to discover the craftsmanship and-ship of their ancestors, the ancient Caucasian Carpet made an art form.

Since it is the only truly remarkable is the authentic antique Caucasian rugs have status, there are some excellent examples of antique Caucasian rug, which are revered by antiques dealers and collectors around the world. These carpets are from the 19th Century and in a more or less perfect condition.

The weavers of the Caucasus, learned the art of carpet-making in the 16th and 17 Century by the Persians, and like all people in the mountain areas, they receive their legacy of dominance in the carpet weaving craft by their knowledge from generation to generation. Over time, it was the style of Persian, Turkish, Anatolian influenced or Chinese style, a good example of this is the commonly used 'S' shape symbolizes a dragon under a strong influence from the Far East.

Russian Communists collectivized the carpet weaving craft and transformed it into a real industry in the hope of reducing costs by dyeing them chemically and mechanical looms. Some of these rugs are still available and are considered semi-antique carpets arranged on the fact that, even if they are old, but they of inferior quality can be highlighted.

After 1920, there were some women who continue to make their own handmade carpets, continued the tradition of giving Rugs as wedding presents for their children. The cradle of this ancient and beautiful Caucasian carpets is located between the Black and Caspian Sea, south of Russia. The majority of the rugs come from Azerbaijan, but it is difficult to show them exactly how it PIN are no less than 350 tribes speaking more than 150 dialects in this area, but the Caucasian carpet represent real relationships between this immense diversity.

There are five major antique Caucasian rug Styles: Cuba hirvan, Kazak, Baku and Cabistan Karabaugh, but because of the fact that there are many designs, standards, qualities and patterns are the actual types and subtypes quite difficult to identify.

An antique Caucasian rug is a hand-knotted carpets with rich colors and bold geometric patterns to be characteristic. The range consists of strong red, blue, green, beige, black, purple and yellow, and the patterns of geometric shapes, fitted with stripes, crosses, octagons and hexagons, Triangles and animals, crabs and spiders, and human figures. An antique Caucasian rug usually has a central medallion, medallions, or a more all-over design, but concentric Patterns are most common, such as a particular form can be found in the middle to make a larger similar or different. Some have antique Caucasian rugs very dense and intricate geometric patterns. The better part of them are made entirely of wool, but some have a base of cotton.

There is nothing to the feeling that as an alluring, eye-catching skill and craftsmanship of authentic Caucasian ship compared directly in front of your eyes, knowing that it traveled through the centuries only Decorate your house!
